The absolute BEST! If you enjoy a drink at the bar (Great Bartenders) or eat in dinner. We have never found a place with a elegant home town feeling with such great food and spirit's! May I recommend a Moscow Mule with black berry bulldog bourbon. No matter what season you drink AJ's Moscow Mule it will melt your worries away.

Came to your place from a high recommendation from one of your new employees that used to be my favorite bartender in Pittsburgh, Angela, but sadly moved out of the area. Food was absolutely delicious, my steak was melt in your mouth amazing, not to mention the BlackBerry sangria is to die for!! Even though we live out of the area, we will definitely be back and let our friends know about yall as well. Great little gem!

My husband and I used to live above ajs and it was wonderful. The owner and the family are wonderful. Their food is amazing and they make some really cool mixed drinks. We've never been unhappy with the food. It is a small restaurant, so keep in mind if you have a party bigger than say 5, you might want to reserve a table. My husband and I have our dates here all the time. We take friends when we can too. We love it and there's rarely any riff raff to be found. It's our go to.

SHOCKED WHEN THE BILL CAME! The food was good as first time patrons; however, we were VERY disappointed in our bill when it arrived. Here is why: My husband ordered a burger with homemade chips. I ordered a burger with french fries. Our young son ordered buttered noodles with apples sauce as his side. So far, it seems like a normal evening of dining. Well....we come to find at the end of our meal that the only side that comes with burgers are store-bought potato chips. We paid an ADDITIONAL $2.75 or so for homemade chips, an ADDITIONAL $2.75 or so for french fries, and an ADDITIONAL $2.50 or so for a very small bowl of apples sauce with cinnamon. In all fairness, we did find on the kid's menu ,after getting the bill, that each kid item is listed separately with the cost. On top of this, we had found that NOT all fountain drinks cost the same. If you order root beer as a fountain drink, you pay an ADDITIONAL $1.00 on top of the regular fee of $2.50 for any other fountain drink. I never heard of this before; I could see that being the case if the root beer was in a glass bottle. Two things would have made for a better overall experience: One, the menu could provide better and/or more detail so that people are aware that they will not be receiving what is typically expected in an eatery (a side with your burger or the same cost for any fountain drink). Second, it would be helpful if the waitress would have informed us of these EXTRA charges by simply saying "The burger comes with regular potato chips as a side. The side order of __ will cost an extra __. Is that okay?" We learned in this experience to ask questions and to not make assumptions while ordering to avoid BILL SHOCK! I am sharing this experience to help others avoid the same bill issues: ASK QUESTIONS/DON'T ASSUME ANYTHING. :)
